Groupon is an online company that has developed a deal-of-the-day website, featuring discounted gift certificates usable at local or national companies. Groupon employs over 10,000 staff in various countries around the world.

 

Challenge

"Film our first “Groupon G-Slam Tennis Event” being held at Melbourne Park. The event allows everyday people – men, women, and children – to play tennis on the show-courts outside Rod Laver Arena. Capture the fun, action and relaxed air of the day, as well as short testimonials with happy customers."

Solution

Dream Engine captured the day in high resolution video. By ensuring we were familiar with the running sheet, we ensured that we were able to proactively move ahead of time to record exactly what our client needed us to record.We utilised our DSLR camera kit to ensure we were as mobile as possible, allowing us to capture the frantic action of the tennis matches, as well as shooting wider shots showing the location as a whole.

Results

We created an event video that accurately captured the buzz and atmosphere of the day. The video was shared online, via social media and Groupon’s website, as an advertising tool for future Groupon promotions.
