Here at Dream Engine we had a very productive 2017, shooting a huge range of events, documentaries and training videos. Here’s a look at some of the video production work we enjoyed the most in 2017:
Florey Future Fund
Late in the year, we were approached by the prestigious Florey Institute to create a video that would encourage donations to their life-saving research. We conducted a range of interviews with benefactors and members of the Florey Institute, including with Nobel Peace Prize Winner Fred Mendelsohn. We used a range of techniques during filming, including drone shots, stabilizers, and time-lapse. We also wanted to capture the emotional aspect of their research by including some patients who have had their lives vastly improved by research conducted by the Florey.
Consumer Affairs Victoria
Consumer Affairs Victoria provides information for consumers, businesses, residential and not-for-profit. When recent legislation was passed to ensure real estate agents were accurately listing houses with correct prices to prevent underquoting, Consumer Affairs Victoria decided to create a video about Real Estate that would quickly and effectively convey this new law. The video racked up over 50,000 views in a short period.
Jenny Macklin Social Media Video 2017
One of the most prominent trends of 2017 was the rise of the social media text video. These videos are designed to be played on mute through social media like Facebook and Instagram and to get their message across in a short period of time without the need to hear the video. We created one of these videos for local MP Jenny Macklin, who advocates for Alzheimer’s research and wanted to share the huge strides that have been made in treatments by creating this event video production.
Thermo King
Thermoking is a brand you may not have heard of before, but you will have probably had an experience with their products before without even knowing it. Thermoking is a leader in cooling for public transport, especially buses. We created a compelling corporate video for them with a well-planned and storyboarded script, as well as our emphasis on movement and energy.
