This post about How to Add Video to Your Linkedin Profile was written over ten years ago. At the time, it was rare to find video on people’s Linkedin posts. Which is hard to believe. Whereas today it is standard. This was an early hack about how to get video on your Linkedin posts. We’ve left it up for historical value to show how the platform has changed.
If you’re using the Social Media site Linkedin, you’ll know that it is an effective way of extending your reach. Although Linkedin does not currently offer the facility of uploading video, you can accomplish it by following these simple steps:
Use Youtube to host your video. Then sign in to docs.google.com and create a new presentation. Then insert video into the slide. Google will give you the option of selecting a link to Youtube. Then use the Google presentation application on Linkedin to embed your presentation. Simple as that.
Now visitors to your profile can not only read about you and your business, but have the opportunity of viewing video created by, or about, you.
