Background
Training Installers to Commission Bosch Hot Water Systems
Bosch Hot Water asked Dream Engine to produce a series of videos covering the installation and commissioning of several systems.
The videos were made for installers and technicians who needed clear, repeatable instruction they could follow in the field. Bosch wanted to support its written manuals with practical demonstrations of each procedure.
The challenge
Showing Precise Procedures Clearly
The audience already understood plumbing, gas installation and servicing. They needed accurate guidance on commissioning each Bosch system.
The videos had to cover pressure testing, thermostat calibration, flow adjustment, safety requirements and product-specific procedures in the correct sequence. Small components, gauges and measurements also had to remain easy to see.

Planning Every Demonstration With Bosch Specialists
We developed detailed scripts and shot-by-shot storyboards before filming.
Working with Bosch’s technical specialists, we checked the order and accuracy of each procedure against the official commissioning process. That planning gave the presenter and crew a clear sequence for every explanation, close-up and graphic.

Close Views, Clear Measurements and Supporting Graphics
We positioned cameras and lighting so the presenter never blocked the part of the system being explained.
Close-up filming showed gauges, valves and adjustment points. On-screen graphics, measurements, pressure readings and animated callouts reinforced the instruction while the presenter talked technicians through each task.
This gave viewers both parts of the explanation at once: what to do and what the correctly performed step should look like.

The result
A Training Library Bosch Can Use Across Its Product Range
The finished series gives installers a consistent visual reference they can return to when commissioning a system.
Each module follows the same format and visual style. Bosch can add further modules as new products are released, growing the library alongside the range.
Next Steps: Need to Train Installers or Technicians?
We can turn specialist procedures into clear videos your audience can follow and revisit.
