Training Built Around Real Ambulance Procedures
Stryker needed a clear way to train ambulance personnel to use its Power-PRO powered stretcher systems.
We produced state-specific training videos combining real ambulance environments with controlled studio demonstrations. The wider series included filming in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
The challenge
Showing Every Step Clearly
Powered equipment training has to make the sequence of actions, controls, latches and movement easy to see.
Too much detail at once makes a procedure difficult to follow. The series needed to be technically accurate, visually clear and consistent across locations, while still reflecting the procedures and working context of each ambulance service.

Building Each Video Around the Procedure
We planned the production around the information ambulance personnel needed to see, not around a general product demonstration.
Dream Engine managed scripting, storyboarding, filming, voice-over, on-screen titles and post-production. Working from the required procedures, we mapped each sequence before the cameras rolled.

The action
Combining Wide Shots With Close-Up Detail
Wide shots established the complete action. Close-ups showed controls, hand positions and equipment movement.
Multiple camera angles made detailed steps easier to follow. Voice-over and on-screen titles reinforced the demonstrations, giving viewers more than one way to understand each procedure.

Adapting the Series for Each State
State-specific versions featured local ambulance personnel and reflected the procedures, uniforms and working environments relevant to each service.
The local details could change while the structure, demonstration style and visual quality stayed consistent. Each service received familiar training without losing the clarity of the wider series.

A Consistent Reference Crews Could Revisit
The completed videos gave ambulance personnel a clear visual resource for revisiting the operating procedures.
The repeatable format balanced close-up technical detail with complete demonstrations and state-specific context. The project is part of our work producing healthcare training videos across multiple sites or services.
