A live CPD webinar for Victoria’s legal profession
The Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner (VLSB+C) held a one-hour professional development webinar on 9 June 2026 for early career lawyers and their supervisors.
The session had to reach a live online audience and produce a recording for later use. Dream Engine managed the production so the VLSB+C team could focus on the content.

Supporting presenters during a live broadcast
The webinar brought together two presenters, presentation slides and moderated audience questions.
The presenters needed to feel comfortable on camera and know that our team was looking after the cameras, sound and stream.
The recording also had to stand on its own as an educational resource after the live event.

Preparing for the broadcast
Before the broadcast, we explained how the session would run and answered the presenters’ questions.
We tested the cameras, professional audio, slides and streaming setup before going live. During the session, we switched camera angles, displayed slides, moderated audience questions and monitored the stream.

Keeping the conversation moving
During the webinar, our team switched between the presenters and their slides to follow the discussion.
Dr Nicki Macklin shared research and examples of how kindness can support supervision and wellbeing in legal practice. Kerri-anne Millard, VLSB+C’s Executive Director of Policy and Outreach, introduced resources for early career lawyers and their supervisors. The session moved from these presentations into moderated audience questions.
With the production handled behind the scenes, the presenters could concentrate on the discussion and the audience.
The result
A live webinar and a recording for later viewing
VLSB+C reported that more than 250 lawyers attended the webinar.
The Board later published the recording so practitioners could watch or revisit the session. Its webinar article confirms that practitioners can earn one CPD point by watching.
